Meet the Owners of The Lawn Squad, Family Owned, Operated & Established in Woodstock, GA on 3/05/2005 - By Adam & Windy Mitchell.

Adam Mitchell

Adam Mitchell was Born & Raised in Marietta, GA. & Graduated from Marietta High School. Adam Started Serving the community, offering Landscaping services at the age of 16 for several years. Adam worked for an investigations company for a few years & was also a manager of several Wolf Tan USA Salons for a few years. In 2003, when he and Windy Rhoades met at the legendary Cowboys in Kennesaw, GA, Adam decided to go back to his passion for landscaping and start a company together with Windy.

Hence, that is how The Lawn Squad (The L.M.U. on the badge stands for Landscape Management Unit) 20 years ago became our Family Owned & Operated Landscaping Company with the signature slogan “Experience the Quality” with an owner operator proudly on site on every project!


In Adam’s free time, he loves to spend time in the outdoors, he is an avid Deer & Turkey Hunter, enjoys fishing, sports, refinishing old furniture, spending time with his family, friends & absolutely loves his grand dog Dallas aka Dal Pal!  

Windy Mitchell

Windy Mitchell was born & raised in Derry, PA. Windy graduated from Derry Area High School, where she studied Horticulture, floral design & Agriculture. Windy worked at a couple of local florists / Nurseries in PA before journeying to Dunwoody, GA, to get away from the cold weather temps to a warmer climate! When first in GA, Windy was a bartender, server, and office manager for Horizon Limousine Service, etc. In 2003, when Windy & Adam met, that is when the discussion began to start a business together, which they were both passionate about, a family-owned & Operated Landscaping Company, The Lawn Squad, now proudly serving the community for over 20 years!



In Windy’s free time, she enjoys cooking & baking, shopping, going to the Beach, watching football & rooting for her home team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, getting her nails done, spending time with family and friends, & absolutely loves Christmas & decorating for the Holidays! 

Blaze Mitchell (2nd Generation)

Blaze Mitchell was born and raised in Woodstock, GA. & graduated from Woodstock High School. Blaze started learning landscaping at a very young age & throughout his teen years worked on the weekends with The Lawn Squad crew installing Sod, Mulch, etc. During his senior year and shortly after High School, Blaze worked at a golf course for about a year. In September of 2022, he decided he wanted to become part of The Lawn Squad Team full-time! Blaze brings youthful creativity to the marketing side of the business, as well as being a huge asset to having a second-generation owner operator on-site at every job site. Blaze has a passion for rock work, Dry Creek beds, Landscape design & installation, grading, etc. His keen eye, attention to detail, and OCD Perfectionist attitude are an amazing addition to the company. We could not be prouder that Blaze wants to carry on The Lawn Squad for many years to come & live by the brand slogan of “Experience The Quality” as a small family-owned & operated company! 


In Blaze’s free time, He loves to Hunt Deer, Turkey, Dove, Duck, etc. Bass Fishing, just about any outdoor adventure! He absolutely loves building his dream show truck & attending truck shows throughout the southern states! He also enjoys playing Cornhole tournaments, Softball, and spending time with all his friends & family!

The Lawn Squad was Established by Adam & Windy Mitchell in Woodstock, GA, in March 2005. We are now located in White, GA & still proudly serving all surrounding metro areas' landscaping needs. We specialize in Sod Installation & Grading, Landscape Design & Installation, Drainage Solutions, Storm Water Management, Dry Creek Beds, Mulch Installation, Walkways, Pathways, Rock Stair Treads, Natural Fire Pit Areas, and much more. The Lawn Squad is a family-owned & Operated business, not part of or associated with any franchise company. The Lawn Squad customizes each design to suit the needs of the customer, property layout, Client’s Budget, etc. We bring a blend of creativity, expertise, and commitment to every project we undertake.
